OVER
86 COUNTRIES
Tens of thousands from over 86 countries joined the second edition of the event.
Let’s make a new record this year!

ACROSS
ALL TIMEZONES
Pass your baton across all time zones from east to west to celebrate the power of sport and physical activity in unifying the world!

STAY
CONNECTED
Stand together and stay connected as a united front to share powerful messages of peace, gender equality and solidarity among many other causes!
Choose how you want to be active, bring your community together, and share your message!
The event aims to build bridges and connections between people. Beyond a simple event, it provides a platform for sharing causes and values important to you, and shows that the Sport for All Movement stands together and united to create a better world. In 2010, tens of thousands from 86 countries joined us on this new journey, from Antarctica to the westmost confines of the American continent, going through Oceania, Asia, Europe and Africa on the way.
Let's set a new record! Join us, choose your activity (it can be walking, cycling, horse riding, canoeing, climbing, any sport you want!) and pass the baton for a cause that is close to your heart! By sharing the videos and pictures of passing the baton, you can contribute to the team effort to help connect the world through a planet-wide relay!

Record-Breaking!
This Sunday 3 October 2021, the world connected as 86 countries joined the TAFISA World Walking Day - 24 Hours Around the Globe.
For the second edition of an event set to be the most accessible and inclusive 24-hour relay around the globe, several hundreds of videos and photos were shared by a wide range of organisations - from National Olympic Committees, Universities, International Sports Federations and National Sport for All Associations, to local sport clubs, schools, and individuals participating in the movement with their own contributions.
TAFISA would like to once again thank and congratulate all those who joined World Walking Day - 24 Hours Around the Globe in 2021!
We hope to see you again on Sunday 2 October 2022!
